Ellen - Nice to meet you electronically. I am researching my wife's side of the family from Moca/San Sebastian. I have confirmed information on Higinio Gonzalez de la Cruz Santiago (abt 1807 - ?)and his wife Concepcion Mendez Gonzalez (Abt 1810 - 1886. Apparently Higinio's parents were Francisco Gonzalez and Rosalia Santiago while Concepcion's parents were Antonio Santiago and Maria Soto. Let me know if you have any interesting information that you can share. Thanks - Max Padro (padro@att.net)

Hi Max,
thanks so much for writing! I have a bit more to add to the parents lines: Francisco Gonzalez was Francisco Gonzalez de la Cruz y Perez de Gerena b.1778, hl Francisco Gonzalez de la Cruz y Menendez & Ana Perez de Gerena y Vasquez, and his wife was Rosalia Santiago Soto (ca 1777-1865, Capa, Moca). She was the daughter of Antonio Santiago and Maria de Soto. They had at least 11 children. Although I spell out the names completely, it's for convenience's sake, as they will appear in documents in much more abbreviated form. Let me know if you're interested in joining SAMocanos on Yahoo Groups. Hope this helps, Saludos, Ellen
